Apple’s Siri takes Google Glass with nasty replies

Siri has always been pretty sassy, and has had a solid amount of snark when it came to the competition.

Apple-Siri

Apple has updated its voice driven personal assistant Siri to make playful comments disappearing Google’s head-worn accessory glass calling it “half-empty” and telling users they’ve “got the wrong assistant”.

Try this yourself. Hit and hold the home button on your iphone to activate Siri and then whisper this “Okay Glass” in her ear. The responses range from the direct insult, “I think that Glass is half empty” to flippant, “Glass? I think you’ve got the wrong assistant” to amusing, “Stop trying to strap me to your forehead, it won’t work” and even the slightly insecure, “I’m not Glass. And I’m just fine with that.”

Some of the responses do exist right now in ios 6, but there are extras in the ios 7 beta, so it could be easily be that this is just the tip of the iceberg on Glass insults from Siri.

Apple is also rumored to be working on its own wrist-worn accessory to take on Google Glass in a wearable computing space with a launch as soon as 2014.

According to the sources “A Google spokesman offered the following statement on behalf of Google Glass: ”Siri, it’s not you, it’s me. You see, I just met Google Voice Search and fell hard for her. She doesn’t just listen; she understands me.”

Matt Cutt: Google +1’s confirmed to have no direct impact on Rankings

Google’s head of search spam, refuted the latest Moz study that claimed to show a correlation between Google +1’s and high search engine rankings. Back in 2011 Matt Cutts debunked a similar study conducted by Moz that claimed to show a correlation between Facebook shares and high search engine rankings.

Cutts says that “High quality content naturally generates a lot of likes, shares and +1’s, but we shouldn’t take that as an indication of having the ability to influence rankings”. However, there are some valuable findings from the Moz study that still hold true. Google plus does page rank and allow anchor text, two things we know for sure are factors in Google algorithm.

What separates a good SEO from a not-so-good SEO?

Creativity, SEO is one of the most creative tasks out there. I believe that SEO doesn’t have to be as boring as people think it is. Most people assume it is a boring task of building a million links a day but really, SEO can be quite interesting and far from boring.

Getting creative will allow you to do something a bit more fun and in return, hopefully get those desired links. Why Search Engines Spiders are not crawling/Indexing your Website/Blog Posts?

For people who are asking “what is the reason not to show cache of a website”, here is a brief rundown of possible explanations.

Google does not provide any guarantees or promises that will crawl or index your blog stuff. You must keep maintaining your blogs content to enter into Google boundaries. Google does not have any human workers for crawling sites, they are using a computer algorithm for this purpose, and hence it must consider the factors such as Page Rank, Back Links etc. before crawling.

The another reason why your site is not cached in Google is the “ NoArchive” directive that you found in the settings. Turning that off effectively removes the “noarchive” directive from your pages. Google and other search engines will now cache your pages.
